The new 2018 Ford F-150 is introduced to the public. With recent increased in demand for a truck that can perform heavy duty and still have a classy and great look, Ford has once again produced a new and better version of the Ford F-150. Three years after the remodeling the truck, the new 2018 version has caught the attention of truck lovers all over the world.

Ford F-150 Exterior:

There are major changes to the exterior of the truck in this new model. Its aluminum box-shaped body remains. However, it has a grill with twin bars. This stretches across the ends of the front giving the truck a wider appearance. The grills will be fitted with new LED lighting that will improve vision if driving in the night. These lights are designed to reach toward the center of the vehicle. Fog light will also be fitted.

There is a new bumper that is separated from the grills by a filler piece. The rear end will have tail lamps with a tailgate having the F- 150 logo. The truck will also have new wheels that are expected to be in six different designs depending on the model. Their diameter is between 17 and 22 inches.

Ford F-150 Interior:

The interior of the vehicle will be designed to make it spacious and class. It will be designed to carry eight adults and still have enough room for luggage. The seats will have great designs depending on the model. The F-150 Platinum opts for Dark Marsala hue design while the Sport and Lariat Sport opt for faux carbon-fiber designs. It will enable efficient driving as it will be fitted with adaptive cruise control.

It will also have a pre-collision system which has pedestrian detection abilities, 4G LTE WIFi to enable connection of wireless devices. Its entertainment system will comprise of Bang and Olufsen stereo systems. Other technologies expected include cameras, blind spot monitoring, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Engine Specs and Performance:

The new 2018 Ford F-150 is expected to have a light and improved engine. It will be fitted with 3.0 liter Power Stroke diesel V6 engine. This is expected to produce 255 horsepower and torque of 440 lb-ft. The engine will have a ten-speed automatic transmission. It will also have a 3.3-litre direct injection V6 engine with a six-speed automatic. This will have 283 horsepower and 254 torque.

The 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine will be maintained. However, the 2.7 liter EcoBoost engine will have a dual port and direct injection. This will improve in fuel consumption thus improving the fuel economy. There is also the 5.0 liter V8 with a 10 speed automatic. This ensures reduced weight and improves efficiency.

Price and Release date:

The F-150 truck is expected to be released to the United States market this fall. However, the PowerStroke V6 engine trucks will take a little longer. The trucks will be first seen in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. The price of the model has not yet been officially released. However, it is speculated that it will be slightly higher than the current model. It is expected to range between $26,700 and $63,200.
